چکیده
In this article, a study of long-term behavior reaction–diffusion systems augmented with self- and cross-diffusion is reported, using an Gray–Scott system as generic example. The methodology remains general, therefore applicable to some other systems. Simulations the temporal model (nonlinear parabolic system) reveal presence steady states, often associated energy dissipation. A Newton method based on mixed finite element provided, in order directly evaluate states elliptic system, validated against its solutions. Linear stability analysis Fourier carried out around homogeneous equilibrium, spectral nonhomogeneous ones. For latter, problem solved numerically. multiparameter bifurcation reported. Original steady-state patterns are unveiled, not observable linear diffusion only. Two key observations are: dependency pattern initial condition geometry domain.

A self-consistent equation to derive a discreteness-induced stochastic steady state is presented for reactiondiffusion systems. For this formalism, we use the so-called Kuramoto length, a typical distance over which a molecule diffuses in its lifetime, as was originally introduced to determine if local fluctuations influence globally the whole system. We show that this Kuramoto length is also r...
متن کاملBifurcation analysis of a predator–prey system with self- and cross-diffusion and constant harvesting rate
In this paper, we focus on a ratio dependent predator–prey system with selfand cross-diffusion and constant harvesting rate. By making use of a brief stability and bifurcation analysis, we derive the symbolic conditions for Hopf, Turing and wave bifurcations of the system in a spatial domain. Additionally, we illustrate spatial pattern formations caused by these bifurcations via numerical examp...
